I have my dog Jade in 2001, when I was a graduate student at the University of Oregon. In December, Jade and I traveled to California, where I was on holiday break with my parents spending. That Christmas, Jade got his own store and had more presents than me under the tree. And I was very happy. Today I am more likely to buy holiday gifts for those animals than I am for the people to whom the animals belong. Here are some guidelines for buying gifts for pet parents:
