The cruelty of Claw Removal

Cats use their claws for various purposes. The claws are important for cats because they are an essential part of the assessment. If you ever have noticed a cat, jumping and resting on a high object, you have probably noticed that he uses his claws to pull himself up. When climbing trees, cats tend to use their claws to latch the bark and climb to the target.

Cats also use their claws for stretching, walking and running well. The claws are a cat primary source of defense against other animals and people too. Most cats keep their claws extremely sharp, as their claws and teeth are basically their weapons. The claws are also responsible for using the toilet too, like cats they use to cover up their mess with dirt.

Cats also use their claws to scratch things to mark their territory. Their claws are glands that contain a secretion. When they left their mark something that secretion in the area is scratched, they transferred. This is detectable to other cats but not to humans. Sometimes they are a little scratch to the older claw which will fall and remove them with a new claw that resides underneath.

Sad as it is, many pet owners choose their own possessions and share their cat as their expensive furniture or carpets. These cat owners are afraid that they ruin their cat furniture or carpet, and therefore choose to get your cat de-clawed. Getting a cat's claws removed is a surgical procedure that can only be performed by a veterinarian. The owner must have a good reason, though, as a veterinarian, not only the operation to keep the furniture or carpet protected.

If you have of getting your cat de-clawed been thought, you should know that the process completely change his personality. Once the cat is de-clawed frog, he is in pain and confused. It may not be able in the window or on the couch to jump, and he can not play like he once was. Some cats, after being de-clawed frogs tend to become aggressive and bite with their teeth. To make a long story short, the cat is totally miserable - this is a difficult thing for those who love their cats.

Those who choose cats should even know that a cat can scratch on occasion. If someone is not prepared to deal with this fact, they should not their cat in the first place. Cats are wonderful animals when they clawed and they are to use occasionally. There are many other great pets there if you are not up to handling a cat. If you are concerned only about your furniture or carpets, there are ways you can keep your cat from scratching on your belongings.

The first thing to do is to know your cat a scratching post and left it where it is and how to use it. You can also make a rush mat as well, which help your cat to scratch with his instincts. You may have to show you how to use the mat or the post on first use, although your cat should catch it too quickly. Once you have shown him the ropes, is he scratches on the post or the mat - and not your furniture or your carpet.

Although many are not aware, there are other ways to protect your things other than your cat de-clawed.
